Meet the Research Team
George A. Lopez, David Cortright, and Linda M. Gerber-Stellingwerf have studied and analyzed sanctions and related issues for more than 15 years, working closely with the sanctions branch of the United Nations Secretariat and with various European governments and U.S. agencies.
Lopez and Cortright have authored and edited nine books on sanctions and dozens of research reports, book chapters, and journal articles.
David Cortright is Director of Policy Studies, Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, University of Notre Dame.
Linda Gerber-Stellingwerf is Chief Operating Officer of the Fourth Freedom Forum.
George Lopez holds the Hesburgh Chair of Peace Studies at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, University of Notre Dame.
